During November 2022, I was writing in New Zealand. Happily, it was a success and now the work is wending its way through final edits. but in the meantime; I want to acknowledge the help of many people.
Acknowledgements
Thanks to the library staff in the Lakes District in Queenstown, New Zealand, especially Arrowtown (Sam), Frankton (George), and Queenstown (the lovely Kay). They introduced me to the facilities, the Wi-Fi, hot seats, desks, and that deep rabbit hole known as papers past. A big welcome smile is always assured!
Thanks to the Queenstown Literary group for organising the Writers Festival. It was a great pleasure to meet you and all the writers in the orbit there! Bethany- you are a star.
Thanks to Barbara for hosting me in her beautiful adobe home in Frankton. Good chats, great sleep, and eggy breakfasts set me up for every day. The ‘enjoy yourself out there’ salutation rings in my ears to this day.
Thanks to my beta readers, Tess, and James. It must be tedious holding a writers’ hand as they find their way to ‘The End’. Your support and comments are wonderful.
Thanks to my editors and Red Books publisher for the hours of effort as we try to hone this into something readable.
Thanks to NaNoWriMo and all the writing groups, authors, sprint masters, chat rooms that welcomed me and in their own way carried me along. Finally, a big thanks to my partner-in-crime Victoire, and my family for always being there.
